Counting calories in home made veg juices

I've recently bought a juicer and am really enjoying experimenting with various recipes, although I am now having trouble in working out the calories consumed. Do I just take the calories as if I had eaten the whole veg or fruit raw?

Really good question, I'm wondering that same thing!
I made a fruit and veg juice today, but since I couldn't find anything like it on the database, I just added them in as whole fruit. That seems a bit wrong to me, considering the best bits seem to go into the filter part of the juicer and you only get a little juice for a lot of fruit and veg. I'm not sure of what else could be done.0 -
Logging the whole fruit/veg will get you pretty close.
I think weighing the juice before you drink it is more accurate calorie-wise. If I recall, green veggies/tomato juice is about 20 cal per 4 oz. Carrot/root juice is about 40 cal per 4 oz. And fruit juice is about 60 cal per 4 oz.
But it's harder to log the micro nutrients and macro nutrients, if those are something you track.0
