Face went gaunt after weight loss

I don't know what to do anymore.
I was in college when I first attempted to lose weight, and went from zero to 60 [so to speak] in one month. From a totally sedentary couch potato I began to work out 2 hours a day-- an hour on tae-bo, another hour on Dance Dance Revolution on the PlayStation One.
Looking back I think it was the worst decision of my life. Instead of losing weight around my midsection [which was my goal], my face went from plump to gaunt.
And I don't mean thin. I mean GAUNT. I mean with wrinkles due to loose skin and hollow cheeks. Gaaah.
I am not exaggerating-- most people trying to guess my age overshoot it by 10 years on average. No matter what clothes I wear people mistake me for a mother [been single for all of my 31 years]. Ever since then I have avoided cameras like the plague and I hate having my pictures taken without my knowledge. I would only post pictures of me if they're blurred enough, or if taken from far away.
I am now thinking of undergoing surgery, or at the least taking facial fillers. For those of you out there who have undergone these procedures, what's the best way to go about doing this? How much does this cost? What is the recovery period? And most importantly... Does it work?
