I am seriously craving sweet food. I know i know all good things in moderation. but seriously a chocolate bar i had last night (which i only had 1 piece, there's 2 in a pk) had 110 calories. How am i supposed to fix my sweet tooth and not over eat?
How about eating out? Mexican, itallian OMG YUM. how do i do that?
& Please anybody that responds, don't be like my friend here and tell me just don't eat it:laugh: . NOT FUNNY:noway: . (I work with a couple of people that think they are funny and they aren't.)

Check out the weight watchers stuff. They do some nice chocolatey things that aren't too high in points although I'm not sure about the calories as I don't have any in. Snack a Jacks are another good one I've found.
I eat out as a special treat and say to hell with the calories to be honest. I've found that if I stop myself eating the things I want I really crave them and end up eating them anyway but if I eat them say once a month I can live without them for the rest of the month. So yeah, I usually have a terrible weekend once a month where I have burger, pizza and all those other horribly fattening things I love. Well, I did when doing weight watchers, I've only just started here.0 -
Chew some gum. Usually helps me with the sweet. Or brush your teeth. I have pudding for my chocolate crazings and frozen yogurt for my night sweet. They have single portion size cups you can get, they cost a little more, but easier to control how much you eat.
Mexican - I usually order the fajitas with out the tortillas, cheese, sour cream, guac.
Pass on the chips unless you have the calories left on your day.
Italian - Yikes - say away from Alfredo - he is not your friend. Stick with red sauce and usually 1/4 of what they put on your plate. Easy on the bread or nix it all together.
As always, bulk up on the salad if you can. Easy on the portions!
But enjoy it when you go out. I try to keep that for special occasions.0 -
i love dark chocolate and my husband doesn't want me around if i can't get it
so i just resort to buying a dove chocolate bar and having 1 of the 5 pieces. i get my sweet fix and it is budgeted in my day or i work out so i can have the extra calories or sugar.

I found the best way for me was to give up chocolate bars, and after about a week i stopped craving them. Try cereal bars with chocolate (i like cadburys chocolate and raisin brunchbars) and treat yourself to a low calorie hot chocolate each day (cadburys highlights has only 40 calories per mug). This deals with the sweet tooth without the stupid amount of calories x0

Another good one is jaffa cakes actually, they come in the little packs of 3 so you can't overindulge0

To help with cravings, I would say have a plan in place for when they come on. For instance, mine is to drink a big glass of water first, then eat something healthy like a cup of baby carrots. If you are still craving something, try a piece of gum. Then maybe it will pass. The less junk you eat, the less you will crave it. Trust me, I used to have the biggest sweet tooth but I made the decision to change and stick with it everyday.0

or Dark Chocolate...it's better for you than milk chocolate....try a fondu so at least you're eating fruit too, and tip the fruit just a little...or try fruit and whipped cream (oil based) that's one of my favorites0

oh i forgot when eating out... my hubby knows now that we split the plate or i get the salad a a few small bites of his. if he doesn't feel like sharing i can get what i want but ask for a box immediately so i can put at least half away before i go to eat it. that way if it is off the plate i don't feel like i have to eat it nor does it look like i ate nothing. if you know where you're going (ie chain resturants) i look up nutrition facts before i go and pick the best combination of healthy and tasty. i think of it as flavor bites. on days that we are on the road i plan my meals around one really bad meal (600 calories or less in a single sitting). so if we get wendy's or in-n-out (shared fries and no soda) the rest of my meals that day balance it and don't compound the mistake. yes i may be a little hungry till we get to the bad meal but i can live with it0

I keep a bag of Ghirardelli's chocolate chips on hand, and when I have a bad craving (usually the TOM) I just let a small handful melt in my mouth. Not too many calories, and it really helps.0

I just watched the Biggest Loser 30 Day Jump Start Video, and Bob's Diet tips were fantastic!
Eat with Awarness!
1) You can have what ever you want... just eat in moderation.
2) Try getting your taste buds used to more naturally sweetened foods. It takes work, but once your taste buds are changed its going to be much easier!
3)When you are eating healthy 6 days a week, there is nothing wrong with having some chocolate every once in awhile.
4)CHINESE: Order brown rice instead of white rice. Get the sauce on the side, if your in control of the sauce you'll forgo about 500 calories in a meal.
4)ITALIAN: Get your salad dressing on side. Don't eat the pizza. Stay away from the bread basket. Get your pasta in a half order, and get the sauce on the side. Stay away from the alfredo and stick with the red sauce.
I think some of his tips were great! I hope this helps
5) MEXICAN: go for black beans instead of refried. no chips. corn tortillas instead of chips. eat fajitas, you get grilled veggies, and a protien from either chicken or shrimp0 -
I like getting low calorie pudding snacks, I currently have chocolate, caramel, and Cinnamon bun in my fridge...each are only 60 cal a snack pack. I also LOVE sugar free Jello only 10 cal by itself, or only like 30 with whipped cream on top.0
