Scale is not moving

I started MFP about 6 weeks ago and I've been exercising a minimum of 30minutes a day 4-5 days a week and reduced my calories since starting and I have gained weight. I know gaining weight is normal in the first few weeks but it's been 6 weeks and nothing is giving and I'm not compensating for exercise by eating more food. I used to drink 2-3 sodas/per day and now I may only have 2-3 a week. Any thoughts or ideas before I completely want to give up? (I won't but it is frustrating I weighed less than before I started)
