I made this last night for dinner and just had to share. It turned out so good and the whole family loved it. One serving only came to 188 cals :)

1 lb chicken breast of tenderloins
1/2 C Light Sour Cream
1/4 C Parm cheese
2 T minced onion
1 t garlic powder
1/2 C Italian Bread Crumbs

place chicken in bottom of baking dish. Mix all other ingredients together except the bread crumbs. Spread mix over chicken and top with bread crumbs. bake at 350* for 30-40 min.

Did you have 2 tenders for the 188 cals? The chicken breast version I saw on allthecooks.com is 350

I made something very similar but used plain greek yogurt instead of sourcream. It was delicious.

So simple, but sounds tasty! I agree that I'd use Greek yogurt instead of the sour cream.

If you mix a little grated cheddar cheese in the with the breadcrumbs (adds to the calorie intake a little) the crumbs go crispy and crunchy.

You can lower the calories and fat by using Fage 0% Greek Yogurt instead of the sour cream, and making your own bread crumbs with a low calorie bread. I would use what I usually use Nature's Own - 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread Sugar Free (50 calories a slice)

How many servings does this make?

I used 8 chicken tenderloins and put in for 4 servings to get the 188 cals.

I just want to thank you for a wonderful recipe. So moist and family approved. The only thing I did differently was dip in sour cream lite first then rolled in dry mixture. Very good. Thanks for sharing..

I'm going to try this tonight with pork chops. I think it will be even tastier. I ended up making chicken soft tacos with my chicken tenders.

You might also consider Panko bread crumbs. We've substituted that in dishes to lower calories. Not sure if this would be more or less than option above...just throwing it out there. It's a Japanese food so it might be in the "ethnic" section in your local grocery if you don't find in the bake aisle.
  • Sounds great, can't wait to try it!
