Not going to make my goal!

I had a goal to wiegh 196 by May 22. it was realistic when I made it, but I now weigh 204. so I have 3 weeks to loose 8 pounds. I dont think its gonna happen. kind of depressing I need a pick me up!

but beat yourself up for that !
so what if it takes a little longuer,, in the long run, you are making heatlier choices and that is what counts,,, the weight loss is a bonus really.
btw, you'r not the only one, when i setted my goals back in january, i wanted to be at 185 by mid-may. but im at 192 and not budging for a while (i admit to having slip off a bit on the work outs..
you'll get there in time, your doing amazing so far !!!

Great goal, I am sure, but you need to think bigger!!!!! Think about your life, your health, in the long run! You may have an event or something that you were heading toward....but you can maybe lose another 2-6 pounds by then and you should be excited about that! Whatever you do, do NOT let failing to reach your original goal let you give up, or even get discouraged. In a couple of years, you should be looking back and laughing!!! :laugh:

I was shy a few pouinds with my "first" goal :explode: but I made a new one after that one and I accomplished that goal and more....soemtimes as humans we set our standards too high (also too low)....but like may_marie said dont beat yourself up...good things will happen just be patient and what you have accomplished so far is worth celebrating!!!! :drinker:

One more comment.....you joined in March (beginning or end?) and have lost 11 pounds already ....YAY...:drinker: according to your profile. You are also wanting to lose most of this weight by January and your cruise....(oooooh, fun!!). Just keep doing what you are doing and you will have reached or almost reached your goal by then, depending on how many minor setbacks you have (plateaus, etc.)

you can do it of you losing your 2 a week you def can lose 6 lbs in 3 weeks. and at least your only 8 lbs away not 20!!!0

What matters is that you tried. That you are getting healthier. That right there is a major accomplishment and you should be proud. Keep up the great work, and there is still a chance you can make it. Eat right and exercise. No quick fixes or you will be hearing from me

I was just as down as you are about my goal. I was hoping to be 179 by the end of May, BUT March and April were rough months where my body was messing with me and I had to do a lot of trial and error to see what would work. As of yesterday I was 189, so I don't think I will lose 10 pounds this month.. but, if I were to lose 2 lbs a week then I should hit 179 by June 6! LOL! Who knows. We shall see. I know it's hard when your goals get pushed back....but a couple of weeks is not a big deal in the scheme of things and you WILL get there!
