BMI related body mass composition
So I have been wondering. A BMI machine prints out these values which include percentages for water, fat, protein and minerals. I know the normal ranges for body fat %. just wondering if there are normal ranges for body protien and minerals. I know of blood protein tests but I wanna know if there's any way to know if the protein and minerals values from the BMI machine are within normal. Educate me please!

What is a BMI machine. BMI is just body mass index, which is a function of height and weight... does it guess all those other things based on that, or do you mean a body composition machine? These can be quite inaccurate as well and can depend on hydration level, undigested food in your system, when your last bowl movement was, etc.0

I don't see how the composition analyzer can be too accurate for the minerals and such. Even the BF% is not as accurate as being measured by calipers. It can show changes over time as the ratio of Muscle mass to body fat changes.0
