Vitamin side effects

Just looking to see if anyone else has had the same side effects as me or has any information on if I should be taking these vitamins together.

Currently taking per day:

1 vitamin D
1 organic salmon omega 3
1. folic acid
2 evening primrose oil
1 maca root.

Not sure off hand the amount within the pill but they are all pretty low.

The last week I have had terrible headaches, I am tossing and turning all night.

I have been exercising and drinking lots of water and eating healthy so I can only think of the pills.

I take vit D as I live in Edmonton and it has been a long winter and hardly any sunlight and was having the "winter blues"

I take folic acid, primrose oil and maca root to balance my hormaones I recently went off birth control pill and need to regulate my hormones naturally.

I just dont know why I am feeling so ****ty.

Help!

The first three shouldnt be giving you grief unless there is an allergen in the binding agents. Not sure about the other 2 pills but I do know they are common natural treatments for hormones.

As for headache, turns out mine were caused by food allergies. Mainly eggs, milk and coffee. It was the only noticeable symptom for both the eggs and coffee and sometimes it would take a few hours after ingesting to manifest so I never made the connection. Try cutting eggs from your diet for 2 weeks to see if it helps or go see your doctor for some testing?

    ^ that ^

I would just look up what the daily recommended is and stay within those lines. WebMD has a good description of side effects and other drug interactions for both the primrose and maca. They both seem to be well-tolerated, but I don't think either of them are suggested for long-term use w/o being supervised.

May I ask why you were on the birth control? I'm really only on it because I have really terrible pmdd, people use it for various reasons though. It can take between a couple of weeks to a couple of months for your hormones to right themselves, but if it has been longer than that you really should talk to your primary care physician. The headaches could just be from your body readjusting itself.

I think that might be it.

Hormones just getting inline. Really sucks tho.

I was put on birth control when i was 14 for my acne, and stayed on it ever since I am 26 now. I am hoping to try to start having kids in the next year or sooner and want my body to be clear of any fake chemicals.

My acne is due to hormone imblance so I have started to take maca root and primrose oil as it is suppose to do the same thing as birth control with your hormones but naturally.

I guess I will just wait it out... see what happens lol.
