Howdy all,

I'm Kat from Southern Ontario. A brief story about myself. As a kid, I was always active and could eat anything I wanted without gaining a pound. I was always a bit underweight but doc said that as long as I was eating right and being active, he had no worries about me. I was on school sports team and was a runner for a long time until nagging injuries kept forcing me to stop a few years ago.

Now that I've been working a desk job for last few years, it wasn't easy to stay active and despite eating healthy 90% of the time, I still gained weight.

On January 15th, I went to the gym to do the women's beginners conditioning strength workout that I found online. I thought I was fairly strong as I was a little active but this workout humbled me big time and let me know when I was sore for the first week. However, I felt stronger after a week which was enough motivation to keep going. After 6 weeks, I jumped in dumbbell weights in many areas, lost 10 lbs, lost 3 inches, got plenty of compliments from boyfriend who was inspired by me to keep working out and am much stronger than I ever used to be.

I have a new workout plan but need to work on my eating as I have plateaued hence why I joined the site. My goal is to get to 135lbs which seems to be the weight that my body is happy with. I've also started running again and for the first time, I am not sore or feeling wiped like I normally am when I first start running again which u attribute to my weight workout routine. That's enough motivation for me to keep working out.

Eating, that's the hard part especially during tax season so hopefully, this site will keep me accountable.

I've been reading some stories here and you people rock!

Looking forward to being part of the community! :)
