Southern Oregon friends?

I'm looking for Southern Oregon friends who want to share successes and woes.

If you understand the sorrows of torrential rain, smoke from forest fires, and other plights that try to stop us from reaching our fitness goals, PLEASE ADD ME!

Well, I'm up in Portland, which is still Oregon. It's not so bad. I outdoor run in the winter, but this is an awesome state for outdoor activities. I'm doing paddle boarding all summer in Bend every chance I get. Then there is kite boarding and wind surfing the Columbia, mountain climbing, and some amazing biking and hiking trails. Get some good outdoor gear at REI or something and some fearless friends and it's pretty Gucci.

Have you hiked the trails in Silverton, OR? Silver Falls trails have 10 water falls which are most visible now, as the snow is melting. You can walk behind four of the falls, there's a few spots for swimming. Go, go, go! It's awesome. It won't matter if it's raining either. The falls are gonna get you wet regardless...

I camp and hike in the Silver Falls area from time to time. Good stuff!
