2 weeks ago I got really depressed and started eating anything and everything. I keep trying to get back on track and only eat what I should but am having problems staying on track. Any ideas, suggestions for a way for me to get back on track? Thanks!

I've done the same thing as well and really the best advice i can give is just get your lazy butt up and do it! I ask myself why I can't exercise today, if there is no reason then get up and do it! And laziness isn't a reason! You can always have break days here and there of course.0

I have problems every day wanting to just give it all up and eat whatever and whenever I want!
I try to log my food each day. it makes me accountable. if not, I am just living in oblivion and in denial about how many calories I am actually eating.
I try to NOT bring foods into my house that will cause me to fail. high fructose corn syrupy carbs, etc. everyone has their 'failure foods', you know what yours are... try not to have them around.
do some exercise that you like, and keep at it, because eventually it will feel good to your mind and body and you will want to keep doing it.
I also try to be conscious of what it is that is making me fail or fall off the wagon. usually it is not that difficult to figure out- emotional triggers, stressful days at work,. family stress, etc. when I feel vulnerable to these kinds of triggers, I try to be aware and make purposeful choices to combat what I really want to do, which is stuff anything into my face, and then hate myself for it. if i can be aware of the agitation, i can then say 'ok, i am NOT going to eat this THING in front of me. i am NOT going to give in and fail. i am going to A)leave right now and get away from the temptation B)have a cup of coffee or tea to distract my mind/body trigger connection C)go for a walk and get my blood moving and move away from the trigger.'.
you can do it! each day is a new chance to start again.
the biggest thing I try to keep in mind is that every day I wake up, it is a new chance to start again. the past is the past- including yesterday. today, I can wake up and start on the right path again. it is never too late, and you always have the power to reset and start again. the key is to start again, and to stick with it. we are human, and we fail. no one is perfect. forgive yourself for your issues, and know that you are deserving to live a healthy life.0 -
Tomorrow, just for tomorrow, stay on plan. Just one day. Eat what you know you should, record it, stay on point. Exercise, even if it's just a walk around the block. Record it. Just for tomorrow. One day. On Thursday? Do it again. Just for that one day. If you stumble, pick yourself up and continue as if you didn't. Just one day. After a bit you'll realized that a week or two have gotten in and you stayed on plan. One day at a time is how I do it.0
