Just 2 lbs a week

I have an exciting and very important event coming up in fall of 2015. About 76 weeks away. I have roughly 90 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight. The thought of losing 90 lbs is daunting (even though it was to lose 130 lbs but I've dropped 40 so far). So, my focus is now just 2 lbs a week. That will give me a little wiggle room for the weeks I plateau. That is completely attainable and even healthy to achieve. I'll start weighing myself Monday (along with measurements). Anyone who would either like to do this with me (especially if you're like me and have quite a bit of weight to lose) or would like to support me, please add me as a friend. I've been focusing on at least logging in consistently into the site and starting Monday will work on journaling my food and exercise consistently.
Happy losing to those who want to lose!

The biggest lose I have ever done per week is 1.5 lbs. I think I am not suitable candidate for this but I wish you good luck and I agree this is attainable.0

Great work on losing 40 pounds! Just get as close as you can.....don't set a time limit. All progress is good. As you get smaller, a deficit of 1,000 calories a day will become unhealthy.
Pounds per week
75+ lbs to lose 2 lb range
Between 40 - 75 lbs to lose 1.5 lb range
Between 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lb range
Between 15-25 lbs to lose 1 -.50 lb range
Less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs range
Good luck!0 -

Awesome job on what you've lost so far! Cheering you on. I have not seen this chart before and it makes sense...thanks teabea for posting it.0 -

Thank you guys for your support! And that's great information to know that as we lose weight it's healthy for it to come off slower.0

Add me if you want. I did the math just a couple of days ago and I seem to be losing 2 lb a week average. There are weeks I just get 1 lb down and there are those when I lose 3!
Edited to add that I am already in the healthy weight range so I may want to slow down the loss soon..0 -
Good luck!! I'm aiming to lose 2lbs a week too! My goal is to lose 15lbs by June and then maintain thereafter. Slow and steady is a great way to go.0
