Stress level very high, fuse very short and so mad I could care less about the calories in the chocolate candy bar :explode:

I don't want to feel like this-- any suggestion on working through this phase and not emptying the vending machine?

Breathe deeply. Make sure you're getting enough air. One thing that helps me is the make an sssss sound as I'm exhaling to make sure I get ALL of the air out of my lungs, and then inhale deeply. Do this a few times, to relax yourself. If this doesn't help, then excuse yourself for a few minutes, and go for a brisk walk. Hopefully by the time you're done, you won't want that chocolate bar.

Things that help me: no caffeine, yoga, cardio. My pms symptoms just go away if I follow those things. I know none of those things will help right this minute, but like Kminor suggested, maybe take a brisk walk?

Yoga. Extra exercise. Time to yourself. And if you still need a candy bar... well... I hate to say go for it, but maybe have a half. TOM is a fact of life. Just remember to get yourself back on track when it's gone.

One candy bar not to bad, and you can work it off. Midol is a wonderful thing sometimes. I also take fish oil (not only heart health) is helps with my attitude. If you can go for a walk/run and maybe listen to some music. I have my ipod on my desk, music helps me. (I express myself with some of the songs I choose, and some songs are just relaxing) Hope ya feel better.

If I want a candy bar or a piece of cake or a piece of pizza, etc., first I will eat something else(legal) and hope that craving goes away. I do think about the candy all day and, inevitably, I will eat the candy bar sometime later that day. In the beginning, when I first started "dieting", I felt even worse, more stressed, because I just cheated on my diet. But now I know it's ok. One candy bar isn't going to hurt me or my weight loss. It satisfied me and I ate the "right" foods the rest of the week. And I wasn't stressing for that candy bar anymore. You will more than likely be satisfied with one or two bites so that's even better.
