When does your calorie limit decrease

I have been on mfp for awhile but have really only been using it faithfully for 42 days. As you can see I have lost 16 lbs and I wanted to know how much weight loss before mfp decreases your daily calorie limit? I tried a search but didn't really find the answer to this question.

MyFitnessPal is only a set of general guidelines. It in no way can account for individual differences such as the intensity/volume of your workouts (i.e. weight training), or occupation (i.e. mailman vs. office job) among other things.

If you are still losing weight at a steady rate, there is no need to change your caloric intake. If weight loss has stalled, try incorporating some cardio into your regimen (to put yourself into more of a calorie deficit as opposed to just lowering your calories).

The key is staying consistent. Monitor the scale as well as the mirror and adjust your calories accordingly.

Thank you for your answer., my weight loss hasn't stalled. I am doing well. But I just wondered if it changed on it's own after so much weight loss.

    No problem.

The last time I checked, it'll do that on its own if you update your current body weight... but by no means does that imply you should follow it. There's no need to fix what isn't broken.

Generally a loss in 1 pound per week is good.

MFP will ask you to re adjust your settings. Sounds like this has been ignored, or maybe you weren't asked. If you think it's been going a bit fast, and you need to slow down on your weight loss, you can adjust your settings manually. I've just reduced my daily kcal to 1500- 1600 and it's going a bit fast, so it's only a temporary solution, untill I've lost 2lb. After, I will increase my daily kcal to 1800 and to maintain, I need 2200, but everyone is different.
Here you'll find calculators, so you'll know what your TDEE is. www.fitnessfrog.com

It usually asked me after I lost in 10 lb increments if I wanted to change settings.
