Many do it different, how do you make "it" work?

No I'm not talking about sex.. BUT I do have a serious question.

I'm losing weight, which is many of our goals here. But now that its breaking down. I'm much hmm how can I put this "jigglier" that being said.. It is beginning to get uncomfortable to jog or do some exercises because there are parts of me that are moving like they never have before.

Have any of you experienced this and if so, what did you do to combat it both during workouts and if you needed to dress to go out? Being that i'm getting flabbier before I can tone up, I'm concerned about looking crappier because now I jiggle everywhere I go.

For me, compression shorts/pants are great for workouts (with an oversized tshirt that is long enough to cover my bootie), along with a good sports bra. When certain articles of clothing require it, shape wear has become my friend. :)

I thought about buy a few pair of cheaper girdles (sp?) like the ones without the boning for workouts but I wasn't sure if that was over the top. I hadn't thought about compression shorts/pants though!! Thank you!!

What often happens (esp for women) when we lose weight we only care about the number on the scale...

We hit that and realize yah no I don't like how I look I have to lose more...but we never are happy with how we look.

That typically is because women who are only concerned with scale weight lose a lot of muscle because they don't do resistence training and/or eat to few calories and the weight comes off too fast...which means losing that muscle.

There is no reason that you can't weight lift or do some sort of resistence training right now. You don't have to be at goal weight to start that...as a matter of fact it is best to start it as you lose weight so that you don't get that "jiggle" thing happening as you lose weight.

^This. Definitely start lifting weights if you aren't already. There is no reason to wait until you're at your goal weight to start.

Oh no! Don't get me wrong, I do a circuit of lifting daily before my cardio, my arms are toning as are my legs, my gut on the other hand is breaking down but that will take more long term work (obviously) so if anything. I was just looking for helpful hints to uh, "keep it together" for the time being :-)

    Thank you all!!

Yep my mistake is I wish I would of been lifting weight long before I got to my goal weight...Now I'm making up for lost time.

If you aren't doing compound lifts no it wont happen.

When we say resistence training it has to be full body resistence training...most of us do free weights and lift "heavy"...heavy being relative.

I too wish I had started lifting earlier...but I did do full body resistence training so I am not as far behind as I could be...

To keep it together for the time being is start a progressive load lifting program that uses compound movements such as squats, deadlifts etc...

I have lost 50lbs...half of it doing full body resistence training...and I don't jiggle much at all anymore...
