HRM question, replace or fix?

I currently have an old Polar F6 that the battery has died on the watch. I really liked it when I wore it to workout. Since my diagnosis of my auto-immune disorder, I haven't been able to workout like I would like to. I do have a FitBit Flex and love it and feel really sad when I don't have it. LOL It's great for when I get on my treadmill but not so great for something like T25, Insanity (if I ever get to that point again), and when it comes out PiYo (can't wait for that one). Should I get my F6 fixed or would it be good to take the opportunity to upgrade? I don't really see myself going to a gym but don't want to rule that out completely either. I think I would like to stick with Polar as my treadmill will connect with Polar monitors.

Any suggestions/thoughts?
