To lose fat, you must exercise for more than 30 min?

I have heard some trainer telling people about this. Is this true? Also is after working out, such as running, even less than 30min if my body heat up a lot, does that means my metabolism goes up and it is burning fat after I exercise?

Ideally getting any exercise for at least 30 minutes a day will be beneficial in weightloss. A combo of a healthy diet and exercise will ultimately lead you to lose fat (or weight) if that is what you referring too.

Oh and as long as you are running and are warmed up you will be burning calories yes by doing so with proper nutrition you will increase your metabolism, in my opinion, so yeh it's a win win. :glasses:

Trainer is confused. One loses fat on calorie deficit. One doesn't even have to exercise to burn fat.
I believe what the trainer is trying to state is that to even utilize fat for energy, glycogen stores have to be depleted. For some that may be 30 minutes of exercise.

    +1

If you're going to run after you work out, chances are you're going to be tired. And vice versa.

Try to have cardio and weight training sessions during separate times of the day... or on separate days.
