stinging thigh muscles

Have just done day 4, week 3, (workout 3) of body revolution. There is a move where you are kneeling and then reach behindto touch the opposite foot with the opposite hand. Now I have been a little stiff in the thighs for the last few days but when I did this move the burning ache became a sharp stinging flash of pain.

I have finished the workout and went upstairs to bath and that doms soreness you normally get the next day and feel when going up and down stairs again really has a stinging element to it at the tops of my thighs that I don't normally associate with doms.

Have I overdone it a bit and done more than a little bit of tearing? Should I take a break from the programming and just do gentle walking? Am I being a wimp and its normal and I should just push on through?
