Need some support please....

I have a confession to make.... For the last THREE (yes I said three!) days I haven't been eating too well. I've been going over my calories anywhere between 300-600 calories. I've also gained about 1 pound. I know I know that doesn't seem like a big deal but to me it is a big I mean huge deal. I feel bad about myself now. Also I haven't exercised since the 5K on Saturday... So I'll take my own advice I give to others.... Tomorrow is a NEW day I can do this! So far today I've been within my calories and I'm going to eat a HEALTHY dinner. No over indulging today and we are going to go walking tonight too. Aiming for 4 laps that's about 2.75 miles. I got this! — feeling determined.

Tomorrow is a new day but today is even better :) it's great that you are recognizing that you are slipping and that you are going for a walk tonight. Do all four laps, enjoy it! Hopefully, you enjoyed your last 3 days of eating more than is normal for you but now it's time to get back on track :)

    Story time--
Last year I started MFP, lost 39 pounds in about 4 months--and then I just...stopped. I still had another 45 pounds to lose, but I just quit logging in, quit paying attention to what I was eating and about 8 months later I had gained it ALL back. 4 months of hard work for nothing. Now i'm getting married soon and I WISH I would have just kept going, or at the very least tried to MAINTAIN and not GAIN. I still have time to lose the weight before the wedding, but it really sucks having to start from the beginning.

DONT be me. If you're going to have a bad day, have a bad day. But NEVER stop logging your food, and NEVER stop weighing in. If I had just got on the scale once a week I would have seen where it was going and I would have gotten back on the wagon.

You can do it! You've been doing it! 35 pounds down? Way to go!

We all have days where we over indulge. The trick is to not let a bad meal turn into a bad day and the a bad week, month, ect.You have accepted responsibility for it and showed accountability by posting about it now brush it off. You are planning ahead to help you get back on track and that will help keep you there. A Tip: For me opening my diary to others helped keep me more accountable and avoid binges. I knew in my mind that my friends would see that I was slipping up and it helped keep me focused. Also having a strong support network helps too. I have friends who if they see I am having a tough day or week will check in to see if everything is ok or offer me encouragement to brush it off and get back on track. Feel free to send me a friend request if you are looking for more support. Best of Luck

You obviously are committed to a better you and sensitive to any back peddling. Great to see you so self motivated. You know you're on a journey and it's normal to encounter a few obstacles (or set backs) along the way. Not sure what has taken place over the last three days to take you out of your routine, but look at it as a temporary thing, not a new norm. Get back to what you know is your routine - right away. No excuses! Reaffirm your reasons for working on a healthier you. Remind yourself of the gains you have made and the goal(s) you are trying too reach. As you say, you can do this! We know you can do it too!
