Weightlifting/running ratio

Hi
I started losing weight half a year ago (post baby) and doing exercise about 6 weeks ago. At the beginning, I liked heavy lifting a lot (Stronglifts 5x5), I only did a little bit of cardio (running) in between. Now I am beginning to enjoy running a LOT, I like the rhythm of it, one can do it outside etc. Also, I like the fact that it gives me a lot of extra calories a day PLUS I cannot eat much after running because I feel full after regular breakfast. It is win win for my calorie budget! After lifting, however, I am HUNGRY all day and would love to eat 3 times the amount of calories I burned while lifting. So lifting days are the hard days calorie-wise.
Sound like I want to be a runner more than I want to be a lifter BUT I see amazing results through lifting. My butt is really getting into a very tight shape, smaller and rounder. So dropping lifting would be stupid.
So… any thoughts on that? I am thinking maybe 2x a week lifting is enough, and I could run the rest of the week? That way, I could save some extra calories for the lifting days in order to not go hungry after lifting. I cannot do both in one day because I only have this one time slot, about 1h before the kids awke up.
I am 5.2", about 137lbs and would like to lose another 8 or 10 lbs. Also, I am hoping to do a recomp and lose those saddlebags (which look even more ridiculous when you're skinny fat - been there, did not like it).

I guess it boild down to this.
Or maybe I just want to hear othe things I might want to consider.
There is NO one in my real life I can talk to about this :flowerforyou:0 -
Sounds like a good plan. Just make sure your lifting is a good full body routine. I've been on a 3x week strength & 3x week run for the past few months & its gone well too.0
