So I have had a terrible past few days!! I have eaten way over my for 3 days now. I have been so stressed and i'm a stress eater. My 6 month old got sick, then cut her second tooth, then my husband got sick. Ugh. I have such a hard time getting my exercise in with the baby, because when she goes to sleep, i know she will be up early so I just want to go to sleep. My husband leaves for work at 5 5:30 so I would have to get up really early to go before he left and then I take her to the babysitter (my mother) @ 7:45 to get to work at 8:30. Then I feel bad leaving after work because it's the only time we get to spend together. So I need to know how to get back on the wagon. I hate myself for breaking my stride. I had lost 7 lbs and in the last week I have gained back 2 lbs. I guess I just need some encouragement. ughh just feeling so lost and I want to make this work this time!!

    Hi honey!

Don't beat yourself up too much. Things happen. Recognize your triggers. It sounds like it is stress. When you get stressed out ... prioritize. It sounds like making sure you don't fall off the healthy-lifestyle wagon is right up there. Maybe you can do a Mommy and Me class? Bonding time AND exercise! Prepare healthy snacks .... Lately Ive been enjoying salads with no lettuce which I find very easy to eat with no salad dressing. I put a cut up very firm nectarine (or peach), persian (seedless) cucumbers, a bell pepper, pomegranite seeds, carrots and strawberries all into a bowl. I can eat quite a bit and it leaves me feeling full, satisfied and hungerless for quite a few hours! When you wash the fruit / veggies ... be sure to dry them. Since there is no "juice" like what comes from tomatoes it can last for 2-3 days! Prepare your meals so you can be sure to feed your husband, child and yourself quality meals.

Time heals all wounds! Including your broken heart. Get back on that horse! The two pounds will eventually go away. Take stairs instead of the escalator! Do all the little things! and don't do it just b/c of right now ... do it for life!

    xoxo

Don't worry, a few days of eating badly isn't the end of the world. I used to get in my exercise while my husband did the bath time. Half an hour was perfect and gave my husband bonding time with the baby (and at one point, a toddler and twin babies!) plus it put me in a better mood for the rest of the evening. I still suffer with the guilt of leaving my children in the evenings to do anything but I keep telling myself that leaving my children with their Dad isn't a bad thing and it's a great way to show our children how exercise is important.

It happens to all of us. What I tell myself is that tmw is a new day, another chance to make better decisions. I can't imagine how difficult it could be juggling such a busy schedule. But you can do this!! One step at a time. We're here for you.
