Calorie Counters Frustration!

I am on my third HRM/Calorie Counter and am frustrated with all of them. I had a watch that I used for 2 years and it broke and I thought it was pretty close to accurate. I then bought the Jawbone up, used it for two weeks, and returned it because of issues with it not syncing, reminder not working, not going into stopwatch mode, etc. but the calorie burn was close to the watch I had broke. Now I have another watch and doing the same exercises it is registering a much lower calorie burn for the same exercises.
I feel like I have no idea now what my true calorie burn is, or that I should even worry about it.

Even if all these gadgets worked properly, outside of a lab you won't know your "true" calorie burn. All are just estimates, all have acceptable ranges of error, all of things that will affect the accuracy.
People lost weight before those gadgets, people lose weight without them. You don't need to be exact, you just need to be reasonable. Track your food as accurately as you can, weigh and measure, eat a moderate deficit, and move more. If your weight loss stalls, adjust some numbers or your activity.0 -
Thank you. I am going to start focusing more on inches lost more than anything else. I do track my food, stay as close to 1200 calories as possible. I do some type of workout everyday. I am 5'9" and currently 166 lbs. and want to weigh 150 - 155. Thanks again.0
