Bodypump- Les Mills

I have just completed my 3rd class and was curious about the results people have had from this class. Do you like it? Do you prefer another program? Anybody have any experience with any of the Les Mills programs. The classes are available at the gym and I am curious if I should carve out the time to do them regularly.

It's a good introduction into lifting if you one has never attempted it or done it since the weights aren't intimidating. But it's NOT a strength program. More like a resistance cardio program because the repetitions are so high. At the very least, one is getting some upper body resistance training along with legs and cardio. Results will vary from person to person, but if one is trying to "tone up" muscle to make it firmer, then they are much better off learning a traditional strength program.

I loved the LesMills stuff when I did it. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my time or goals anymore. I still pop in from time to time because I like the environment and they are fun.

If you aren't paying per class, I would say to try everything that works with your schedule at least twice.

Whatever gets you moving that you enjoy. There are a lot of "toned" (I hate that word) women who go to those classes. They also eat well, which is important to state.
