Bullworker

Hi all. I'm looking for any experiences of using a bullworker.

I am a 51 year old male who is probably a bit above average fitness for my age. I am currently losing a steady 1lb - 1.5lb per week. I am 186 lbs and probably going to lose approx another stone, but to be honest I am more concerned about % fat than weight. I am just carrying a bit of excess weight around my waist that want to shift now before it I get accustomed to it.

I have bought a bike and am cycling around 45 mins to an hour 4 or 5 times a week. I am lucky to live in rural Northumberland with hundreds of miles of country roads.

I realise I won't add muscle with a calorie deficit but I am keen to avoid muscle loss. If I am right then losing weight gradually will reduce this risk anyway but my question is whether isometric training with a Bullworker will have any benefit.

Thanks in advance, Bill

Wow! That's a blast from the past - didn't realise those things were still being made.
I used one when I was 13 or 14 (in the early 70's).

Think you would be better off getting a set of adjustable dumbbells and also do some bodyweight exercises. Once you max out the Bullworker on most of the exercises there's no progression left. Even as a young teenager it didn't take me long before I had gone beyond what it could provide.
