Hi everyone!

I'm Aunie, this is my first time on MFP. I joined awhile ago and forgot. That's kind how my brain functions. Anyways, I came across the website recently and I was like, "oh, i should join that!"...to my surprise...already joined. Call me Dory from Finding Nemo.

I used to be a really active person. In highschool I played 3 sports year round and then I went off to college and got involved in competitive ultimate frisbee....(trust me: it's a things, I promise. hehe!) and I got into the best shape of my life. We would practice 6 days a week and then on tournament weekend we would play 4 games on Saturday and at least 2 or 3 games on Sunday, and each games is an hour and a half each. So I was a rail! I could eat anything and I literally used to think I could eat anything and still be "skinny".

Well I moved home, had to leave college. Got depressed. I didn't have a job and I sat at home and ate. I found a frisbee team here, but it wasn't like before. Then, I got one job full time job and another...and before I knew it I was working 80 hours a week and not taking care of myself. And then came Nov of 2012...I was at a trampoline gym and I blew out my ACL and had surgery and it has now been a year and 2 months since surgery and I have packed on at least 30lbs.

I've decided it is time to start taking care of myself. I am not going to be working insane hours any more. I am going to find things that make me happy and do them and most importantly , I am going to get my life and health back.

I am going to be starting Insanity on Monday...has anyone else done this?? Any advice or motivation?? Things that helped you get through it? Or any other ACL rehabbers out there??

I am really excited to use this site more and I won't forget about it this time!!

excited to meet you guys.
Aunie

    Hi Aunie,

I recently blew out my knee at a trampoline park while playing with my boys. I am just over 3 weeks past surgery, and I feel like things are going really well. I am able to work out at the gym, with a few more activities added each week. Granted it is nothing compared to my normal workouts, but I am trying to make it work.

I think you will bounce right back into shape. You just need to dedicate a few hours each week to taking care of yourself!

    I sent you a FR
