Wow I have been doing this for 3 weeks now and consistently at or below caloric intake but my weight stays constant. Would this be because my thryroid meds are still being tweaked? Thanks!

Sunny,
Welcome! I suggest you take this question to your doctor who prescribed you the thyroid medication. Hang in there and try to stay patience. Weight loss is definitely a journey.0 -
No clue, you need to ask your doc about that. I am sure you will get it worked out and get the scale moving though!!0

Welcome to dieting. It took me 7 weeks of consistently hitting my calorie target before I saw a change in the scale most likely due to water retention, then I dropped about 5 pounds in a week. Weight loss doesn't seem linear on short timescales and you can't expect to see constant progress or changes over such short time periods. This is a long term commitment or its not going to work.
Before you decide you must be doing something wrong and try to make tons of changes why don't you just do exactly what you have been doing for another 3 weeks and see what happens.0 -
I started back in February at 191 and consistently burned more calories than I ate & drank my water everyday and by mid March I was up to 196.6#'s!! Last week I was at 194 and today (4/17) I weighed in at 192 BUT I have lost several inches all over. You have to measure or you will get discouraged. Your body has to adjust to the exercise, water, and way of eating. Last year I went from February to June before I lost more than 1# but then it started coming off 4-6# at a time. (then I quit! UGGHH!) It just takes time.0

Yeah if you expect that from dieting you will get a nice and easily predictable loss of scale weight week to week you are in for disappointment.0

Are you exercising? Are your measurements staying the same?0

It isn't the correct answer because you can never maintain your weight by not eating enough. That is nonsensical and completely illogical..The implication of saying that maybe you would lose weight if you only ate more is that somehow eating less would make you maintain your weight which is completely backwards.
If you are maintaining your weight there are basically 2 possibilities:
1: You have a caloric intake equal to your caloric output
OR
2. You just aren't waiting long enough to see the fat loss manifest in terms of a scale weight reduction, something that can be masked for weeks to months by water retention.
I suspect since the OP has only been doing this three weeks that the answer is #2. Although time will tell if they stick with it if actually #1 is to blame.
The answer to not losing weight is NEVER "you aren't eating enough"0
