Body Fat Percentage

Okay, here is the deal. I'm not incredibly overweight. But I am frustrated by the fact that I can't loose that last 5-10 or whatever the right number of pounds necessary to be in awesome shape. I feel so close to being there, but just can't seem to get over the hump. I started out at 5'7" and 172 pounds. I am pretty muscled, so that isn't as much as it sounds like. Now I am down to 162 and 22% body fat (according to my scale). I keep hoping that one day I will wake up and be 159 and 19%. I think 20% and above is considered overweight for a 40 year old male. I eat well, I excersize once or twice a week.

Any motivation or thoughts on losing that last handful of pounds?

without your diary being open it's hard to tell really...

but a scale for BF is not a good plan to follow...they are not really accuarate.

But I am actually the same stats as you except I weight 157...

Eating well means what??? Calorie deficet is what you need to lose weight...and to ensure you are in a calorie deficet you should be weighing your solids, measuring your liquids...to know for sure...

As well exercise what do you do? Lift? cardio? how do you calculate burns?

Very similar stats to you. Quite muscly, quite heavy too, and also in my 40s

I am very sceptical about the fat monitors to be honest. The fat percentage just seems to go down with my weight and has little to do with actual body fat content

I always shed my last few pounds by cutting carbs a lot. Worth a try?
