Waiting for Pain Relief

Dear MFP folks,
I have had a toothache since last Sunday and I have a cracked tooth that needs a root canal or pulling and the endodontist can't see me until Tuesday afternoon. I am taking the ibuprofen recommended but now my throat has a huge swollen knot that wasn't there when the dentist saw me on Wednesday afternoon.
This is the problem: I'm missing my exercise time because I am in pain but I am also feeling guilty and afraid that I'll lose my drive and the feel good of doing my regular exercise.
I've let other things in the past get in my way of continuing my efforts. How can I keep this from happening again? This is really scaring me. I'm crying right now.
I don't want to lose the progress I've made. I haven't gone off the deep end on eating, although I think about it, but because of my tooth hurting, I don't really want to eat anything.
Ideas anyone?

Or Emergency Room.

Go to the ER tonight, an infected tooth can easily turn into a systemic infection. This is serious and can be fatal.0

None of this sounds good - please reach out to a dr or dentist sooner than later. It could be very dangerous.
For the pain, if you can tolerate Tylenol, you might be able to take it along with the ibuprofen. But again, do not mess with this - it could get serious.
For the exercise, do what you can and if you can't, don't beat yourself up. If you can get some walking in, go for it. I also live in terror of not being able to exercise (irrational terror but terror nonetheless). You have made huge progress - do not give up now. If you are out of it for a week, it will not be the end of the world - keep logging and get back to it as soon as you can.0 -
Sorry, I am taking the prescribed antibiotics for the infection.0

Right, but if your throat has a huge swollen knot the infection may be resistant to the antibiotics you are taking.0
