Easter

My life goals, and health goals are more important than meals on any holiday. On Monday I would not remember what I had for my Easter meal, but I will know how good or bad my body feels if I eat or don't eat too much.0

It's Easter. I plan on enjoying it, with moderation.0

Well, yesterday was my birthday so I let myself eat whatever I felt like.
Today I'm going to be back on track. I don't need two days like that in a row!
Happy belated birthday :drinker:0 -
Had Easter breakfast at church and then lunch with family. I made the best choices I could. I have supper planned and should end up close to my goal for the day.0
-
I just enjoyed the day with my family and didn't worry about it ! the gym will be there tomorrow lol0

The benefit/difficulty of not living in the same state as your parents : there is no Easter Basket, no Cadbury mini-eggs, no ham, no potatoes. No extra calories, but it also doesn't feel like much of a holiday either.0

I have plenty of calories left but my carbs are almost at the limit already cause of that darn hot cross bun.....but it was soooo good....I'm going to try to stay with mostly ham and veges for dinner and leave out the potatoes....if I go over a little....no big deal...I'm planning on doing another workout when I get home from mum's anyway....:).....I'm even taking my food scale up to her house....how's that for either total dedication or total stupidity!!!lol0

I've eaten about 500 calories worth of candy already and it's not even 11am. Going over to MIL's at 3 for dinner, who knows what we'll have there. I'm not worried. A few days out of the year spent at maintenance (or even a little over) won't make a difference in the long run. Today will be fun and short lived. Tomorrow it's back to our regularly scheduled program.
This!!!!!!
A few holidays a year won't make a huge difference, so I'd rather enjoy myself (without going crazy and eating an entire cake) but having a dessert on Easter isn't going to make or break me, so I might as well enjoy the holiday!0 -
It's a holiday! So I'm taking off from logging at all. Tomorrow's a new day.0
-
Well, yes, I guess. In that my "diet" includes eating like a normal person and indulging on the holidays.0
-
dont skip meals, worse thing you could do!
Why is that?0 -
I am not on a "diet," I have made a lifestyle change. My lifestyle doesn't restrict me from enjoying an occasional huge holiday meal with 2 or 3 awesomely rare desserts with my family, or even from eating a bit more than usual all weekend due to Easter plans with friends. Restrictive is not sustainable for me. So I will stick to my new lifestyle, of course, it just happens to allow me to be human and have some wiggle room every now and again. One weekend isn't going to make me gain 40lbs back, it just means I'll eat a bit less over the next week or two to compensate OR I will accept that this will cause me to take a small step backward (gain 1 pound? Maybe 2??) and just carry on as usual afterward.0

Although I was slightly over (100 cals) after Easter dinner on Friday and I will probably be over today by about 300 cals, I'm still WAY under for the week since I've been budgeting calories for this all week long. I planned ahead to ensure that I could enjoy everything I want today!0
-
Currently I'm under by 31 calories, with plans for having at least 1 more of each of these, so probably will end up over by 500 calories today, and I am enjoying every delicious morsel

dont skip meals, worse thing you could do!
Can you please show the research on this?
I don't typically skip my meal since I typically eat 1 a day and I would be cranky missing that0 -
I was way over yesterday (at my parents for dinner) and I'll likely be over today (at his parents' for lunch). I'm not going to worry about it. I will try my best to log, but I am going to enjoy myself and time with my family. Back to my plan tomorrow. I may even reach a lifting PR. :drinker:
Exactly the same as this. Better today than yesterday but still over. It's the wine that did it for me! Had a lovely weekend with family and friends but back on track tomorrow.0 -

Come up and get some I have 2 dozen of those mini cherry cheesecakes, 3 dozen carrot cupcakes, a dozen chocolate coconut cupcakes ... and a few other things0 -
I plan to go way over--but I've made plans for it and will probably do just fine this week with a tiny bit extra exercise each day and maybe a few less calories. I generally undereat my allowed calories by between 100 and 300 calories, anyway, so I have plenty of wiggle room and won't exceed more than a couple days of those "extra" calories even if I do no additional exercise or calorie cutting this week.0

Easter is no different from any other day. So of course it will include chocolate!0
-
I'm not on a diet so nothing changes for me.0
