Starbucks Help!

Can you taste the difference between a carmel light frappuccino vs. a caramel frappuccino? Is there any indicator (color, taste, etc.) that could determine if its a light frappuccino or not?

I love to have a caramel frapp (light with whip) as a special treat when I have done a long run.

I can't tell the difference but that is just me maybe, everyone is different.

I mean you can tell the difference if you taste them side by side. When I get a light frap, I like to add an additional flavor shot (sugar free) to make it a little more special without adding more calories. I'm a big fan of the mocha light with sf hazelnut syrup (and an extra shot of espresso!)

If you don't like the light one by itself, I suggest asking for an extra pump of syrup and see if that does it for ya.

Thanks! I actually ordered a CFL and I'm so used to them pumping from the top section of syrups and this time they pumped from the bottom (if you know what I'm talking about.) It was a little "darker" or thicker (maybe more ice?) than usually so I was wondering if they messed up and gave me a regular instead of a light.
  • Oh man I have starbucks like every other day. It's my addiction I can't give it up. But I'd skip the frapp altogether and go with a skinny hazelnut macchiato. Those things are the stuff of dreams.

But I have no idea, I don't get frapps. Pretty much everything "skinny" they have tastes the same as the non-skinny to me, so, why not the frapp too?

They frequently add 2% instead of skim into frapps even if light (I know because can't breakdown milk fats so I get sick). I now go in and watch them make it.
Most of the time if they do mess up though, they would add whip too. You can also see what they wrote on the side if they got it right.
