How do you stay motivated after so long?

It has taken me 5 years to lose 100lbs after 20 yrs of up and down. My weight loss comes to a stop for several months during the last 3 yrs. I always change it up but it seems like it just gets harder and harder to lose. It seems anymore that cutting out processed foods at least 6 days a week is the only thing that works but it's soooooo hard! I am very proud of what I have lost so far but I still have 30 lbs to lose and It feels like it will take 5 more years! I don't know if its too many yrs of up and down but it seems like just counting calories and working out no longer works. I have had my thyroid checked and it's a little low but not low enough for meds. How do you stay motivated ??

Wow. Congrats on your achievement.....the way I stay motivated I learned to love what I do and how it makes me feel.....it is a part of me and it's not something I have to do.....I also watch motivational videos, wake up to music and just enjoy myself while I do it.....I don't make it work:D0

I keep pictures of my former self handy and look at them often to remind myself of what could be if I let my guard down. I also follow fit people (body builders) on face book so that I am constantly motivated by their hard work. It challenges me to do better.0

With 30 lbs. to go (congratulations on your loss!), set your goal no higher than 1 lb. per week, and be patient. The smaller deficit will also help you transition to maintenance.
Now that the room for error is so much smaller, you have to be even more accurate with your logging. Weigh everything you eat.
