negatives from sugar in fruit

I eat a lot of fruit (like 5-7 servings a day). I just love it. I've read that the natural sugar from fruit can hinder fat loss. Has anyone experienced this? I also run a lot (between 6-13 miles a day) and always eat back all of my exercise calories.

You lose weight by eating at a deficit. Unless you have diabetes (or doctor's orders), ignore MFP's sugar goal.

Log your fruit and make sure that you meet your calorie goals including protein and fat. Fruit does not hinder weight loss unless not logging it makes you go over your calories.

Myself, I eat probably three different fruits a day. I could not do 5-7 because the calories would then not allow me to get other macros in. But whatever works for you.

Except when specific medical conditions apply:

Fruit doesn't hinder weight loss. Sugar doesn't hinder weight loss. Fat doesn't hinder weight loss. Eating at a caloric surplus hinders weight loss.

    Eating too much can.

Stay within your target goal and you should be fine.
