officially one month into Intermittent fasting, and still trying to work out the kinks in my diet. Adjusting macros, trying to eat clean on a tight budget, and been making gains all the while losing fat. looking for Fitness pals for motivation. Add me and share your stories, advice, pitfalls and triumps. im always looking to improve!

I have been on it for a month and lost 21.3 lbs.
I read eat. stop. eat and it all came together. It wasnt until then that I totally understood all the reasoning and why it works.
I find it pretty easy actually. I go on 24 hour cycles. Fast for 24, "feast" for 24. I usually go from 7pm to 7pm meaning I dont go a full day without eating. If I get hungry on my fast days I know in a few hours I can eat.
On my fast 24 hours I try to not have anything. Some do 500 calories, but I try to stick to 0 as the body, according to the book, really fires up from hours 16-24 of the fast. Then on the feast days I will eat around 2000 calorires, which is 500 below my maintain.
I have found it harder and harder to even get to that 2000 on some feast days as your body is used to not eating as much.
Been working wonders, and is great for when life happens. Have a holiday? Birthday party? work party? big date? No problem at all. YOu just plan around them to be your feast days.
So many people fret about Easter this weekend. Well, I just had that as a feast day and didnt have a care in the world.0
