Recording/tracking fitness goals

So I've attempted this several times before but never really found a method that worked for me. What I would like to do is record fitness/dietary goals somewhere and be able to check them off and keep track of them. The main thing that I've tried has been various paper journals, but always seem to lose track of them or not be terribly motivated by them. Is there anything like that on MyFitnessPal that anyone has found to be useful? Or anything else for that matter?
