For those that workout twice a day

Hi there,

I had a question for those that work out twice a day. How do you fit it into your schedule and how long are your workouts? Do you shower each time right after? I take very long showers and that makes me wonder if I have the time to do two workouts a day.
I would like to start my mornings with yoga and then do weights and cardio in the evening.

I do classes, one right after the other. Maybe you could do that too?

I sometimes work out in the morning and again in the evening. I just take one shower, usually after the AM work-out, unless it was yoga because my studio doesn't have a shower and I only have 30 minutes to get ready for work afterwards.

But I am not a big sweater, and my yoga classes don't make me sweat much anyway.

I only get 2 workouts a day if it is the weekend or if I'm up early enough before the kids wake during the week. Otherwise it is usually 1 workout in the evening. Morning workout is anywhere from 30 mins to an hour. Evening is usually only 30 mins. I shower straight after my morning workout because I normally shower anyway....The evening I'll have a quick rinse off in the shower, I'm in & out usually anyway so no dramas for me.

I try and do them back to back if I have 2 work outs to get in - however I only end up doing that when I`m training for an event - then it`s 1 hour of specific training for that event and 40 mins of cardio - if I have to split them up I try and avoid the need to shower - if I have to shower it`s 5 mins

I do this too and also take very short showers. I've thought about going for a quick run in addition to another workout, but my bigger concern is instead dirtying two sets of workout clothes on the same day (hauling clothes to the coin laundry and all that)

I work at night, so I do several workouts (CrossFit, lifting, running, yoga--some combo of that) but in a row or with an hour break in between if I work that night. On my days off, I just don't go see anyone between, but usually I do all my workouts in a row anyway (like yoga then a WOD then Oly lifting for a couple hours). How do I fit it in? I don't have TV or kids.

I work out at least twice a day if you count my commute by bicycle plus the gym, plus sometimes workout classes. If you do it right you can get a really intense workout in only 15-20 minutes, so I like to squeeze in several bouts of activity throughout the day. Making it part of a normal routine is the only way I will make time to exercise.

I don't shower after biking - I naturally don't sweat much. After a sweaty workout, I will take a mini-shower - just jumping in for a minute or two to rinse off sweat. Then take a longer shower when it's more convenient.

I have been doing 2 a day, depends on weather now whether I do both at gym or one out walking 6-9kms and other at gym doing strength and cardio. One is in the morning and full shower afterwards. The evening I have a quick shower to freshen up plus I always sleep better. And I really have no choice, I do work up a sweat. Come November with no hair then maybe I won't get so hot lol. If I'm working it would be in the evening and once a day. Depends on what's going on. Take each day as it comes.

Currently on a cut so twice a day. Fasted cardio / HIIT in the AM, shower and all meals on the go (wake up 15 minutes before the due). Lift in the evening, back home, shower, dinner, cook meals for the day after (most of it is already prepped so it's just a matter of adding things together).
