Hi, I've been on an exercise campaign to get myself healthy for a few months now. I started losing weight in the spring when I cut out alcohol (mostly wine) from my daily life. A few pounds literally fell off me without trying, so I thought I'd try a little harder. I started having a glass or two a week later in the summer and continue that now.

I have seriously upped my exercise regime the last few weeks. I'm doing an informal weekly rotation of:

- stationary (recumbent) bicycle
- a pilates routine aimed at the abdominals
- upper weight training with 5-pound dumbbells
- a Qi Gong routine for weight-loss by Lee Holden (great!)
- walking
- Tai Chi (only do this about once a week)

So far I've lost about 13 pounds. I am going it slow, mostly want to get healthy, but I would be very happy if I was down another 15 pounds in the next 6 months or so. I've been eating a healthy diet for a long time now, but have started being very careful about overall portion size, and watching for saturated fats, sugars, carbs from grains, etc.

I agree, this is a great site. I lost 42 pounds in 3 months with this site. I have tried it all, pills, fad diets even surgery. By far, this site is the best. Good luck on your journey.
