I had a break and now I'm back!

Hello pals,
I had a break from here because I had an injury which totally screwed up my fitness goals. I started on here August 2012 @ 169lb but because of my knee injury I couldn't do much and went up to almost 190lb but as of today I am 176lb. Even though I am heavier, according to the scales I feel quite fit. On the road to recovery I did exactly what the Physio said and did my knee exercises and worked up to power walking then riding again to and from work (I live in London, where we have really good cycling routes).
I am a martial artist so I was able to go back and do the sessions (Tae Kwon Do) at a lower impact. I worked my fitness even more and went for two belts and now I'm up to a red belt. I didn't want to give up because I am now one belt away from the black belt and prior to going back in 2012 I had an 8 year break (family, life and all that) so I pushed on through.
I am here now and it feels great to be back on this fitness train. I am 45 and want to be doing fitness for the rest of my life and look better than I do now when I am 50. Any other 45+ people on here want to come along on my ride?
See you soon

Hey - welcome back!
I'm not 45+, but I was a cycle commuter in london for many years 'till I moved out to the sticks and started to have to commute by car and didn't take the reduction in excercise into account in my eating habits.
I've also struggled with injuries, and am very big on following what the physio says
While I want to keep loosing weight, that goal is secnodary to being able to be more active and less injury prone >> fit4life.
Happy to help motivate and support0
