Hey guys :)
Probably like many people on here, food has always been something I've struggled with, to the point where you could say it was an addiction. I've never smoked, I rarely drink alcohol, and I'm reasonably active (have to be with the job I have!), but unfortunately my love of food is enough to make up for all the other unhealthy stuff I don't do! My family are all foodies, not that I blame my parents but I was never really brought up around healthy eating, and as I've got older the control I have over what I eat only got worse. I have been a member of MFP before, I lost around 50lbs last time but I never really took part in the community or got support which is where i think I went wrong. Something went wrong anyway, because those 50lbs came back with a vengeance!! I am SERIOUSLY unhappy with my size, and i know I need to change. So this is my first day of tracking, and i have a nice new bike on the way!
This is going to be a heck of a long journey, i have just under 140lbs to lose which is a pretty scary number. So anybody who's in a similar situation and would like to support each other or anybody thats been in this situation and has any advice, that would be massively appreciated :)
Thanks for reading

My best advice: Target a half pound a week weight loss and learn to love your bike.

We have very similar goals. I'm looking to loose 140 as well. I lost 70lbs over 5 years ago but gained it back after my father died. Would love to encourage and share this journey with you!
