New to the Community, Looking for support

I'm new to the MFP community, but loving what I see so far. I'm a divorced single mom to 2 great kids, (11 and 7) I work full time as a Senior HR Manager. I've spent the last few months recovering from cancer surgery and getting myself back on track. Today is the day I stop with the excuses. I have a long way to go (100lbs), and will take all the support and encouragement I can get :)

Welcome! MFP is a great tool to help you on your weight loss journey! Sorry to hear about your cancer surgery I can't imagine going through something like that. Making friends on here is a great way to keep you motivated and accountable. I still have some weight to lose myself. I have sent you a friend request so we can help each other. Anyone feel free to add me!

Welcome to MFP. I found the support here to be great. Got down to my goal weight a while back but have noticed I am slipping back to my old ways and putting it back on...so here I am again. Lol. Good luck! I know you can stick with it. :-)

Welcome my friend! First time on the community board for me. My fitness pal hands down helped me to lose my 40 lbs! You can do it!

  • Welcome! I am also fairly new to MFP, but I have been on my weight loss journey most of my life. I use to keep track of my nutrition in a simple notebook, but heard about MFP and finally decided to jump on here and see what it's all about.
What type of industry are you in as a HR Manager? I am a HR Specialist for a food manufacturing facility. I have only been in the HR field for a little over 3 years, but definitely love the work.
