logging exercise hr or mfp cals

My net cal burn from my hr is a lot higher than mfp shows. Should I log net burn or the standard mfp cals? I use a polar and chest strap

    What did you do?
    For how long?
What are the two different calorie suggestions?

Check your Polar settings (height, weight, age, gender). For steady state cardio the Polar calories should be much more accurate than MFP.

Polar compares your resting heart rate against your heart rate while working out .....that's used as your exertion level. MFP can't know how hard a workout was for you. As you get more fit, your Polar calorie burns should come down.

This...I have a Polar Loop with chest strap and notice the burns are almost always a bit lower each time. I would use the HRM reading for your burns, they will come down as you get fitter or you can increase the intensity of your workouts to increase the burn.

If you are recovering from being sick it is very likely that your HR was affected. That doesn't mean you were burning more calories, but your HRM will reflect that.

Again, with no idea of time frame or numbers it is hard to give an answer.
