New Girl, almost 30, would love motivation and workout help!

Hi all!
Dropping by to introduce myself. My name's Kerry and I'm turning 30 in about six weeks. I gained about 25-30 pounds after a severe ankle injury a few years ago - being unable to do my normal amount of activity really helped pack on the pounds! Coincidentally, around the same time it seems like my amazing metabolism finally slowed down, so it's a double whammy. I have a long commute and sometimes have a hard time staying motivated, so would love some new friends to keep me on track - and I've got a joint disorder so would love any recommendations for great workouts that are fairly low-impact. Thanks everyone and can't wait to virtually "meet" you!

Welcome Kerry! Happy early birthday :) Sorry to hear about your injury I know that can be tough I tore the ligaments in my ankle a few years ago and it took a long time to get it back to normal. Making friends on here is a really great way to keep you accountable and motivated on your journey. I still have a ways to go myself. I have sent you a friend request so we can help support each other. Anyone feel free to add me!
  • Hi there, Kerry :) I'm sorry to hear about your ankle injury. :/ I was in a similar boat last year (neck and back/spine) and it's so hard to watch yourself change without physically being able to exercise or exercise as much as you want to. I just joined here too hoping that I'd find people who are also trying to pick themselves back up. Feel free to add me if ya'd like. (And Kalie, I'm sending you a friend request).
