How long do I have to burn off those calories

Options
Does anyone know how long the body takes to convert your calories to fat? If I have a large breakfast, but don't workout until late in the evening (which is when I generally workout), am I putting myself in a hole?

I wouldn't think so. I don't think of it that way at all. As long as you get your exercise in, it will all average out. And did you know that your body continues to burn more calories AFTER your workout, for the next 24 hours? Pretty cool.

It takes 1-2 hours for food to move out of the stomach and another 8 to 24 hours before it is completely metabolized and excreted as waste. It depends on what you are eating. Alcohol and simple sugars metabolize faster then anything else. Complex carbs, protein, and fats take longer to digest. Sorry, I can't remember the exact order and times for each.
