Hello MFP family...I trying to lose 35lbs by the end of July. I am more cautious of what I am eating and I find myself reading the nutrition labels when I go food shopping. I also join a gym in which I try to burn at least 600 calories a day. I have decreased my sugar intake (although according to my nutrition report I am still over in fat and sugar) and I have stopped eating out as much. With the workouts and changing my eating habits I STILL weigh the same as when I first started. Granted this is only day three of my new found lifestyle but I think I should have at least lost a half of a pound or something. Anyways...my biggest problem is getting hungry during the night. I have tried drinking water, eating fruit, and increasing my fiber since fiber is suppose to make you feel full for longer periods. Please give me suggestions that will help me reach my goal. Also quick, easy, and healthy recipes will be helpful.

Heyy, welcome!
Firstly, making your food and exercise diary public would make it a lot easier for people to offer advise and help with those things.
Going from what you say, it is really very early days. For you to start seeing measurable progress you want to give it a good week or two before hitting the scales.
As long as you are being careful with your food intake and keep on exercising as you are doing, I see absolutely no reason why you won't start to see progress!
Feel free to add me!
Good luck with your goals!0 -
Hi and welcome to MFP. Feel free to add me as a friend if you think it will help you in achieving yo goal. I think for me the most important thing I've done is to log every meal, even the off days, and to set a calorie limit based on MFP recommendations. My calories are probably low for you but I have a very sedentary life and don't exercise. 30 pounds is achievable and you can do it! Eating healthy is great, eliminationg sugar is great, exercise is great, but the only sure fire way to lose weight is by reducing calories, no matter what type of plan you choose to follow.0
