Hi there... If you're reading this right now then HELLO STRANGER!! I joined MyFitnessPal yesterday and I've started
eating healthy today, tracking what I eat on a form that I printed out for myself, as well as today I start running
and I'm also starting the beginner's calendar put together on the popilates site:) I'm super stoked to
lose weight and be the best that I can be.
My goal is to lose weight, drop my body fat percentage by 8%, become strong and healthy and basically look
and feel good in a bikini or when I'm looking back at myself naked in a mirror(we all do it after a shower lol) ..
Anyway, so I would absolutely love sharing my journey with like-minded and willed individuals on this site that
I can help motivate and be motivated by:) I know that this journey is one of the toughest but oh so worth while ones.
I don't plan on dieting, losing the weight and then pigging out like the last supper when I've achieved my goals. I'd
like this to be a lifestyle whereby everything I put into my mouth is beneficial to my body and isn't going to take years
off my lifespan haha .....
I am 1.7m tall and currently weighing at 94.7kg. my ultimate goal is to lose 25-30kg, but I know it'll take time. Oh and my
current body fat percentage is 27% and I have a pear shaped body-so most of my weight is carried in my bum and legs lol
I'm going to be exercising every day. I'll be doing a beginners running program whereby after 3 weeks I'll be able to run for
30 minutes straight. Also going to be doing popilates and then two or three times a week I'll be adding yoga.. oh yoga is
amazing:)
Drinking-wise, I like to keep things 'al-natural' ... so i'll be drinking loads of water, 3 cups of green tea every day(move onto wu long tea after three months), coffee and a glass of red wine over weekends-thank goodness I am not the type to drink my calories:)
Food-wise, I am currently following the paleo eating plan.. so no refined carbs(i get my carbs from vegetables)... I will be reducing
the amount of red meat that I eat and try eat chicken and fish more.. I'll have a couple fruit before 2pm every day.. no white/brown
sugar.. I drink full cream milk(good fats are good for you:P - so no ''low fat'' foods on my menu) ... I'll try eating soups for dinner each
night-especially with winter setting in here in South Africa... hmm, anything else... uhm, no:)

Hi Shayna,
This is my first week on the site and I'm also looking to make new friends that can join me on my journey.
Here is a little about myself. I'm 24 years old, I currently weigh 76.7 Kgs and I'm 1.7cms tall. My ultimate goal would be to get down to 65 Kgs, but I would be more than happy to get down to 70 Kgs by the end of the year.
I'm also not looking for quick fixes (dropping weight too fast). I see this as a life style change for the long term. I want to gain more confidence, be able to wear a bikini and enjoy the outdoors more. (I'm from New Zealand and there are some beautiful walks here).
My goals for exercise are:
- Gym (weights plus cardio) three times a week
- Gym (cardio) twice a week
