HRM market- what do I need?

Hey all,
I just lost the transmitter to my Polar FT4 this weekend hiking, and I want a new HRM as I like to track calories when I do cardio.

I do mainly crossfit and running for exercise, sometimes elliptical and zumba. I don't need a GPS on it, and I prefer a chest strap for accuracy reasons.

Should I get another FT4, or is something else better for my needs?

Side note, was considering the garmin vivofit for the step counting abilities and option of wearing a chest strap.
