Weight Training Routine for Gym?

I have been doing a lot of cardio at the gym and just a little weight training. I really want to get into lifting more, but I get over to the weights, do the few things I know how to do and then I stop because I can't think of what else I should do. I feel like I need something to follow. I will be starting a weight lifting class one day a week next week, but that still leaves several days. I want to try to do total body workouts each time since I have two little ones and can't make it to the gym everyday. I need something to follow for 3-4 days a week. I am working on losing the last 20 lbs to get back to what I was before I had baby #2 and would like to build muscle while losing.

So, with that being said, can anyone recommend something to follow? I would love to print something off or have it on my phone to follow. I think I want to stick with free weights/body weight rather than the machines at the gym.
Thanks!

Ask at your gym if they will set you up with a routine. A few of the gyms I have belonged to would (included with my membership) set me up with a routine. Then every 6 - 8 weeks, I could ask for a new one.

I have also used this website to plan workouts:

Well you are on the right track with free weights and body weight.
There are a million programs out there for beginner weight lifters.
Starting strength is a good one.
New rules of lifting for women seems to be popular
    the list goes on
