My favorite exercise for someone who hates exercising!

Walking my dog!!! It is my absolute favorite exercise that I can do regularly. (I also love swimming but do not really have access to a pool.) My dog is a great motivation for walking because she is not something I can say "no not today" to. And she makes the time much more enjoyable. :-)

So I want to say "Thank you!" to my sweet girl for keeping me moving!

Do you have some favorite exercises that you enjoy because it doesn't feel like exercising?

Cycling or Spinning. I do it 5 days a week and seven during the summer months.
  • What a sweet dog! My cats make terrible coaches, unless it comes to napping. I've personally found that I love zumba. If it's dancing (even dancing that involves squats, lol), I've found that my brain catelogs it as "fun" instead of "evil, evil exercise".

Walking is always number one in my book!! It's something that all of us can do all the time. I don't like driving, so for me it's a plus because I can walk almost everywhere I want to go - just be and my ipod.

Hmm... do you not live somewhere with bitterly cold winters? If I owned a dog I am certain there would be times in the winter when I would not be too keen on the fact that I have to take a dog for a walk.

On the other hand, my answer to this riddle is Ping Pong! You can play indoors during the bitterly cold winter and you might not even realize you are getting a bit of a workout.

Oh we have cold winters! And you're right, those days I am not spending 30+ minutes outside with my dog. Those walks are more like "Pee now or forever hold your pee!" and we're back inside.

But now that we are in Spring, I LOVE walking the dog.

I've always wanted to try Zumba because it does look like fun. But I have always felt really self-conscious just because I have absolutely no rhythm or dancing ability. I might try a video at home though, at night, with the shades closed, and the lights out. lol :-P

I have no rhythm, but Zumba is so much fun! When I do finally get the choreography down, I feel all bad**s. Also, people in class with you are generally too busy trying to keep up themselves to worry about your moves.
