Hi all,
Wanted suggestiond regarding weight training at home... What dumbells to get.... I have ten pound dumbells and they are now too easy for me... Gym is not an option ... Its atleast one hour drive from my home... What weight dumbells... Adjustable ones or many sets of different weights.. Which will be cost effective... Dont have a big budget... Doing body weight excercises for quite sometime now...

to be frank dumbells are only going to get you so far. If you can invest in a bench, some plates and a bar you would be better off.

I have a home gym with the above and a homemade squat rack for safety...

I got a pair of Bowflex 552 adjustable with max 52.5 pounds each. I follow ChaLean Extreme and love it.

However, you will find yourself outgrow these weights fairly fast. :) I do also have plates and barbell, but sometimes finding dumbbells are better to work out smaller muscles, IMHO.

I buy plates periodically and get them as gifts for mother's day, valentines day, christmas etc...prefer those to frilly robes that's for sure.

For my birthday I got a curl bar, a standard bar and the aforementioned squat rack that my son and husband built..and they will modify it for me for Mother's day...

Agreed that's why I bought dumbells with my barbells so the weight plates will fit on the dumbell "bar" too.
