Howdy all... Looking for others trying to lose weight but work around food all day. I am a dietary cook at a nursing home... its so hard to stay on track when you have food in front of you all the time.. & most of our food is designed to put pounds on residents that dont eat much.. A lot of whole milk & added fat.
I try to pick healthier things.. or bring something from home but the temptation is very hard.
Looking for some help / motivation

When I was working in restaurants and then in a bakery and I would set timers for myself to eat on schedule every 3 or so hours. This way I was never hungry. Also, eating things like carrots or apples that have bulk and drinking lots of water would make me feel full so that other food was less interesting to me. I hope this helps. I know what a struggle it is to be around food all the time. Sometimes it can be so overwhelming! Hang in there!0
