Is it ok to run 5 days a week

Well i just finish c25k and i did the whole thing on a treadmill. c25k is 3 days a week and i workout 5.
So basically i wanted to start running outside because i heard it is more difficult.
would it be ok for me to run on the treadmill for 3 miles 3 times a week and then run outside the other 2 days with the weekend being a rest day? I want to prevent injuries so im not sure if this is ok.

That sounds like my most horrible nightmare and i would only wish that much running on my worst enemy, but.... If you enjoy it then it's fine.

It's only too much runnin if your body tells you it is. If you find that your joints are hurting, or you're too tired then cut back a little. But your body will let you know what works for you.

I would run 4x a week for a few weeks. Then jump up to 5.

That is exactly what I did all of 2013 and enjoyed the program. Just make sure you listen to your body as you increase your mileage and get your rest on the weekends. You will be surprised how much you increase your miles. I would recommend doing some interval work while on the treadmill once a week and also try keeping a log of all the mile you run. This is good motivation and it also is a record of when you will need to get new shoes. Have fun and keep running.

Without knowing a thing about you aside from being a C25K running n00b, I'd say "why rush?" Keep your three days, but swap one to outside, monitor, repeat. When you can do all three outside, add another day. When you get up to five, and assuming everything is ok physically, add mileage. Don't force it for the sake of forcing it.

I'm going to push mine to 6 days a week because I love running so much.

After I finished my couch to 10k program, I started running two days in a row once a week. it took a while to get used to that. Then I added another double. I still wouldn't run 3 days in a row, unless the third was basically just a fraction of my usual distance. (Usual being 8-13k, long being 18-21k, short being 5k).
I would not up your running by that much all at once, especially if you are also going on the pavement (those two outside runs will probably batter you more than the three on the dreadmill...)
Anyhow, just keep adding slowly and you'll get there...
